The food shortage in Omaha was already great prior to the Covid 19 Pandemic. Because of the virus, the number of individuals and families who are in need of nutritious meals has doubled. We are serving double the households that we were before. Once the restrictions continue to be lifted, we anticipate a much higher number of men and women who will be seeking job training and needing employment where they can earn a living wage and provide for themselves and their families.
Our food pantry is in need of additional chest freezers, refrigerators, commercial shelving on wheels, dollies that convert to carts that become parrallel with the floor.
