MMH was organized in 1984 as an inter-denominational religious program for persons with mental disabilities. Pastors, parents, and teachers established this program that includes worship service, Bible study, and fellowship. There is a full production play held twice a year: Christmas and Easter. Following all services refreshments are served in the social hall and everyone enjoys a brief fellowship time with each other.
Our worship services (all run by volunteers) are held most Tuesday evenings from August thru May at 7:00 pm at the Emanual Church of the Nazarene, 2309 So. 13th Street in Council Bluffs. Since 1984 with the then average attendance of 25, we have grown to an average attendance of 60 or more. In recent years we started to have a fellowship dinner on every 5th Tuesday of a month. MMH provides a dinner and play bingo to everyone's enjoyment.
