Since January 1, 2011, CBHTF has funded more than $1,100,000 in grant projects including both rehabilitation, additional housing units, demolition and accessibility in Council Bluffs. Our recipients included League of Human Dignity, Connections Area Agency on Aging, Vocational Development Center, New Visions Homeless Services, Habitat for Humanity, Neighborworks Home Solutions, and Youth Emergency Services, Municipal Housing Agency, as well as direct grants to individual homeowners, allowing them to stay in their affordable homes safely.
Since inception, CBHTF has paid grants benefiting more than 500 households, with approximately 50% of those households having income below 30% Median Family Income. We anticipate that by the end of the year, an additional 25 households will be affected, the majority being in the below 30% MFI category.
