ACLU of Nebraska
For over 50 years in Nebraska, the ACLU has worked in courts, legislatures, and communities to protect the constitutional and individual rights of all people. Beyond one person, party, or side - we the people dare to create a more perfect union. The ACLU also works to extend rights to segments of our population that have traditionally been denied their rights, including people of color, women, lesbians, gay men, bisexuals and transgender people, prisoners, and people with disabilities.
African American Empowerment Network
The Empowerment Network is a united group of residents, leaders, and organizations working to facilitate positive change in Omaha and other cities across the country. Launched in September 2006, the Network works collectively to improve the economic condition and quality of life for African-Americans, North Omaha Residents and the Greater Omaha area. The movement is a nationally recognized approach for community engagement, collaboration, capacity-building and leadership development.

Our mission is to educate and empower Hispanic/Latino individuals and families toward thriving, self-sufficient, and healthy lives. We seek to serve Hispanic/Latino families in Council Bluffs, a population that grew 112% in Council Bluffs from the year 2000 to 2010.

The Heartland Workers Center improves the quality of life for the Latino community in Nebraska by promoting the power of people and networks through leadership development, workers' rights and civic engagement. Our training, organizing and information exchanges support Nebraskans in affecting change in communities throughout the state.
Immigrant Legal Center
Immigrant Legal Center is the former Justice For Our Neighbors-Nebraska (JFON-NE). We provide high-quality legal services, education, and advocacy to low-income immigrant individuals and families in Nebraska and southwestern Iowa. We serve immigrants of all faiths, races, abilities, and ages, with an emphasis on the most vulnerable--victims of domestic violence, children who have been abused or abandoned, and people who would be persecuted if they return to the country from which they fled.
Inclusive Communities is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization confronting prejudice, bigotry and discrimination. Through our powerful human relations work, we are providing education and advocacy related to the topics of diversity and inclusion. We work with schools, businesses and in the community. Our critical social justice work would not be possible without strong community partners, donors, advocates and an incredible group of committed volunteers.

inCOMMON alleviates poverty at a root level by uniting and strengthening vulnerable neighborhoods. Because we believe the greatest strength of any neighborhood are the residents who call these places home, we're committed to transforming neighborhoods through neighbors. The Institute for Public Leadership (IPL) empowers diverse and emerging communities by developing leaders to act for justice and the common good. IPL is affiliated with Omaha Together One Community (OTOC).
