To make Omaha a premier metropolitan area for the bicycling public. OUR MISSION Omaha Bikes is a community organization that promotes and advocates for improved transportation, utility, and recreational bicycling infrastructure, opportunities, and experiences for the people of Omaha, Nebraska and the surrounding area.
The League of American Bicyclists identifies six essential elements - known as the Six E's - that are consistent in making great places for bicycling. Those six essential elements are: Education, Encouragement, Equity, Enforcement, Evaluation, and Engineering. Omaha Bikes identifies each element as either a core (operational) focus or an advocacy focus.
