For three years, OneWorld patient Todd Robinson rarely left his home because of panic attacks and anxiety. He also suffered from depression and had turned to alcohol to try and cover up his problems.

After seeking help at OneWorld West, the staff discovered that Todd had suffered from two seizures in the past, but was not currently receiving treatment. They were able to pinpoint the source of his anxiety to a fear of having another attack. The OneWorld West clinic staff started Todd on medication to address his seizures and anxiety problems and scheduled a visit for Todd to meet with OneWorld's Behavioral Health team.

Todd was skeptical of talking to a therapist because he had bad experiences in the past. But after meeting OneWorld's Behavioral Health team, Todd said they are a calming presence that supports and believes in him.

"They listen to me like I'm a real person," he said.

Todd has now been receiving treatment at OneWorld for over eight years. With help from the Behavioral Health team, he is currently trying to get into a drug and alcohol rehabilitation facility.

"I thought I was no good…but they saved my life!" Todd said.

In a thank you note to the West Omaha staff, Todd wrote, "I wanted to send a personal thank you for your time and focused personal attention with me. I appreciate you actually hearing my plight. I'm pleased to say that the new regimen of medication has begun to make all the difference in the world. I look forward to our next appointment. A thousand thanks."
