Since its creation in 1985, the Omaha Public Library Foundation has raised more than $10 million in private funds for a wide range of library needs.

The Omaha Public Library Foundation has become Omaha Public Library's essential partner in reaching private donors and volunteers. It remains committed to the goal of a great library system for a great city.

The Omaha Public Library Foundation is the largest, single private supporter of Omaha Public Library. As the library foundation looks back on its accomplishments, it is poised for an even greater future full of gifts for the library.

None of this would be possible without the generous support of our donors.

Over the years, these special drives have resulted in donations of more than $10 million to Omaha Public Library through ongoing fundraising, grant writing, and planned giving.
"Look at the countless projects the library foundation has funded. None of this would have been accomplished without the generosity of our donors. Omaha Public Library remains grossly underfunded; but, it would be much worse without us."
- Richard Kelley, Omaha Public Library Foundation founding member

"For more than a century, Omaha Public Library has helped educate our community by providing access to a vast collection of resources, programs, and services to each of us, regardless of our circumstances. Nearly two-thirds of our residents are library members, and they rely on Omaha Public Library for a variety of needs."
- Terri and Jack Diesing Jr., 2014 Omaha Public Library Foundation Annual Campaign honorary chairs
