Playing with Fire Concert Series
PwF is committed to building community and placing Omaha on the world map as a diverse and integrated city that recognizes and appreciates local, national and international musical talent; music that is not exclusive, but accessible for all. As an all-volunteer managed, non-profit organization producing FREE summer concerts, we support, seek to promote other local community causes, music awareness and education for the children of the region and light the fire of spirit within individuals.
A core principle of PwF is to help support other non-profit organizations with free-will gate donations at each PwF concert. We have supported such organizations as Food Bank for the Heartland, Donate Life Nebraska, Nebraska Chapter of the American Parkinson's Foundation, and many, many more.
PwF continuously supports the youth artist development program, BluesEd through featured artists master clinics and, since 2004, the opportunity to perform at the opening of every PwF concert.
We are celebrating our 15th anniversary with two FREE shows on Saturday, July 14th and Saturday, August 25th, to be held at Midtown Crossing's Pavilion at Turner Park.
Please visit our website or Facebook page to learn more about our upcoming events, artist's biographies and featured videos and a walk down memory lane of our past music festivals.
Playing with Fire hopes that you will join us with your generous support of this local gem during Omaha Gives! Your financial gifts to PwF will help secure the continuation of this annual event, and you will become one of our special fans we acknowledge as a "FRIEND of PwF."

"Walter Trout and the Radicals performed at the 2004 and 2005 "Playing with Fire" concert series. Both times the band, our crew and our entire organization have been treated with great professional care…this indeed is one of our favorite events to play worldwide. The people of Omaha, who come out in droves for the event, the venue, the lights, sound, and the backstage organization - everything is top notch, which make our visit to Omaha one that is anticipated by our entire group. We mention this event wherever we go, and find that the PWF is getting a reputation among musicians and fans as an event not to miss. This event is sure to spread goodwill for any organization that is associated with it."
-Walter Trout's wife, Marie

"Thanks again for the opportunity to play to such a great audience of folks in Omaha. I appreciate all the hard work that went into the event and our stellar treatment by you and your fine people. Obviously we had a blast! This performance reminded me of just how much I love what I do!"
"Omaha is so lucky to have you bring the talent and good times that PWF provides to the city. I had a friend visit from LA and he couldn't have been more impressed with PWF and wants to return next year for it."
