The Elkhorn Community Theatre, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit Nebraska corporation, was founded in April 1998 upon the idea that every community can benefit from participation in the arts. ECT's objective is to involve as many members of the community of as possible by participation in committees, by performing, or by attending the productions. It is our hope that providing this outlet will give the citizens an opportunity to bond as a community, and to improve the area's quality of life
Elkhorn Community Theatre's productions over that last 16 years have allowed countless Omaha area residents the opportunity to learn about theatre from a young age. It is exciting to watch performers who began with ECT as kids grow into fantastic adult performers whether it be the occational community theatre production to profession actors and singers. We have ECT alums everywhere from prestigious theatre programs such as the University of Minnesota/Guthrie Theatre to performing with the national tour of the smash Broadway production of The Book of Mormon.
